Brochure about G-20Y Summit 2010 in Toronto
As the world emerges from the global recession, more and more young business leaders and financial experts are realizing that we can overcome these difficult times faster through joint efforts across the globe. Welcome to the G-20Y Summit!
After the Pittsburgh Summit (September 24-25 2009) the G-20 Leaders agreed to meet in Canada in June 2010.
Goals of the G-20Y Summit:
Guiding our actions by a desire to make our world a happier and better place
Seeking to end instability and lay out foundations for peaceful development
Understanding that global problems affect all countries and all groups of population
Aspiring to forge a global union of young leaders of different nations to freely communicate with each other and express their ideas to the world's leaders
The NGO, International Youth Diplomacy League, established G-20Y Summit International Organizing Committee (IOC) to hold and prepare the G20-Y Summit, an international civil society project. For the past six years, the IOC has been hosting internationally successful summits within G8 and G-20 formats.
By doing so, we aspire to create a framework capable of bringing together the representatives of Generation Y. The G-20Y Summit is an opportunity for young bright business minds of the leading developing countries to come together to:
- form personal connections
- share ideas
- network and receive answers to international and local business questions
The G-20Y Summit is for leaders who not only care about their respected companies, but want to contribute to the prosperity of their communities and their world.
The duties of the IOC entail the organization and hosting of the first G-20Y Summit in Canada, April 2010. The summit will gather over 200 aspiring business leaders from the G20 countries and observer states, for a week of discussions that will build up to a final Communique to be presented to the G20 leaders.
